The common thread for today is the medicine we bought in Belgium and sent to the Gambia with DHL.
We were happy to find the yellow DHL boxes at Kalifa’s. There hadn’t been any problems with the delivery and the boxes were still closed.
Kalifa and his family welcomed us with open arms and many grateful and heartfelt words, which told us our previous ‘mission’ was still fresh in their minds.
From there we began our day trip to the three health centres. At each centre we talked to the staff to get a good grasp of their needs. This will allow us to develop a meaningful long term strategy for the health centres.
