Dag 1 – ARRIVAL
After a very smooth flight we landed in Banjul. Our 13th and 14th suitcase were taken away for inspection by a customs officer. We were directed to a very small room and had to explain the contents. Luckily the medical supplies were quickly approved. After this we were warmly greeted by Khalifa, Karamo and Segu.
We hope that blue ‘bus’ they used to pick us up will keep going for the full 10 days. This year we’re staying in Gunjur, 17 minutes from Sifoe. Tomorrow morning at 8 we will be picked up to throw ourselves into all we have planned: buy paint, make arrangements with the carpenter, and prepare educational materials and medical supplies.
